Men's Golf in Fifth Place |
LOVELAND, Ohio - At the conclusion of day one of the Xavier Invitational, the Eastern Kentucky men's golf team is currently in fifth place with a two round tally of 564. The tournament, played at the par 72 Oasis Golf Club, concludes with tomorrow morning's third round.
Sophomore Jesse Massie paces the Colonels, tying for 12th place after firing a 140. Juniors Shaun McConnell and Phil Hendrickson also rank among the Top 30, tying for 21st place with scores of 141.
Maryland leads the 18-team field, carding a 553, while the Terrapins' Tyler Whitman and Xavier's Jason Kokrak are tied for first place with scores of 134, 10-under par.
